Lyndsey Hogue , DNP, MHA, FNP-BC,
Lyndsey is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in primary care, weight management and holistic care. She believes that it is essential to keep her patients well informed so that they can not only advocate for themselves but teach others down the line and in their family how to advocate as well. She has experience with renal patients, diabetes patients, hospice patients and more. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in health science. She later went on to receive her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration at Texas A&M Health Science Center. Upon graduating she was granted a fellowship and moved to North Carolina to work as an administrative resident where she was 1 of 2 chosen out of 20 candidates. There she learned the intricacies of managing a hospital as well as the opportunities to communicate effectively clinically and administratively. She took the next step to pursue nursing at Barton College where she graduated Cum Laude with her bachelors in nursing. She would later go on to work for the same hospital she was an administrator and focused her efforts on cardiovascular care and renal dialysis. Lyndsey sought out to take preventative care further by starting MELT fitness Studio in Greenville North Carolina where she resided in 2015. The studio won business of the year its first year in existence and helped clients not only manage their weight but come off of blood pressure and diabetic medications. Lyndsey later pursued her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Texas Christian University where she graduated with honors. She now resides in Salisbury Maryland with her husband and two children. Her ultimate goal is to educate her patients and bring them to their optimum state of wellness. Lyndsey is an avid gardener who raises her own food and flowers, a lover of animals and TEDx Speaker. Creating Hogue Health is an extension of her life’s work which combines all of her expertise in practice management and healthcare administration alongside her professional career as a personal trainer and clinician. Lyndsey is the proud wife to Eric Hogue and mother to two beautiful little boys.
